We have discovered that the ignition coils on the earlier models of the Porsche Cayenne tend to fail quite often. The symptoms are erratic idling and also the engine will be running quite rough. In other words, as if not enough cylinders are firing. It is recommended that you bring the car to a competent and knowledgeable workshop that has experience to identify the culprit(s). A whole set of ignition coils will probably set you back by RM2500 to RM3500 depending on how many cylinders your car has.
